Worst Day Ever

A project from a few months back. Noah Cawein came up with the concept, and it took a good team of almost twenty of us to make it happen. I did character animation from 1:10-1:13, 1:22-1:27, and 1:30-1:33.

Tyler Johnson

I project I worked on under Jason Barnes, a 2d animator at Sony. I did just under a minute of animation for this project, and I also had my hand in the ink and paint, as well as some of the background and character designs.

Barnstorming Adventures

Our first ever 2d anaglyph movie. While the rest of the class worked on the 3d film, my team made the 2d splash screen for it.

Noah Cawein and I spent several weeks doing some complicated color-based mathematics and running tests to create a limited color palette that would work with the red-cyan glasses. We colorized this black and white Flash movie, and we created color maps in our palette for the 3d characters that the other team was using.  As soon as I can get the file, I'll be uploading a color version of this.

Jawa Wars - Work in Progress

My most recent project - some friends and I are doing a Star Wars Spoof. Fred came up with the concept, and recruited me and three more people to animate, do backgrounds and effects.

This is a work in progress, without backgrounds or effects yet. During the scene where the jawa is dancing, there are supposed to be lasers firing at him.

Also, the slow-motion is on purpose. Visually, that will make much more sense once the effects and audio are on there.

Shark Tank animation

This is a project I did a few months back for an animal animation class. The project was to make the squirrel ball jump around the obstacle course. I went a step further and cloned the squirrel to make a second character, animated the camera, modeled the shark tank, the sharks, the water, and created and animated the rope.
